Majlis Night
Weekly — Thursday
Cardamom coffee, dates, poetry, and conversation. The Bedouin tradition of the open gathering, every week.

Southern California
Heritage, honor, and community — rooted in Jordan, grown in Southern California.
Who We Are
Diwan Al-Nashama is not a cultural association — it is a living majlis. A place where first-generation Jordanians feel at home, where second-generation kids learn who their grandparents were, and where the nashmi code of generosity, loyalty, and dignity is the house rule.
Next Gathering
Our weekly open gathering. Arabic coffee, dates, and conversation. Occasional poetry recitation. All are welcome — newcomers especially.

Arabic language and Jordanian history for children ages 5–14. Because heritage is taught, not inherited passively.
Weekly Rehearsal
The living chain dance of the Levant. Our troupe performs at weddings, galas, and festivals across SoCal.

The Nashmi Youth Council for teens 14–18. Leadership, community service, and a biennial heritage trip to Jordan.
Monthly Breakfast
Jordanian-American professionals — lawyers, doctors, real estate, restaurant owners — sharing a table and building bridges.
Our Community in Numbers

The Majlis Night feels like walking back into my grandmother's living room in Jabal Amman. I drove my kids from Irvine every Thursday for a year before I stopped counting.
The Nashmi Code
No guest leaves hungry. The house is always open.
Integrity without an audience. Character before reputation.
To family, to community, to the land across the ocean.
